Gameday Information for Cotuit Kettleers Home Games

With the season in full swing, we love seeing our long time and new Kettleers fans join us at beautiful Lowell Park. For our new fans joining us for the first time, following are a few points to help you make the most out of your gameday experience.

What You’ll See

The Cotuit Kettleers compete in the Cape Cod Baseball League, which is the premier summer collegiate baseball league in the country. The Kettleers have a history of success and have won a record 17 Cape Cod League Championships. You’ll be able to see future Major League Baseball players before they are stars! There are now annually over 350 active Cape Cod Baseball League Alumni playing the in the major leagues and more than 1,600 all-time!

Finding the Schedule

The Kettleers play 44 regular season games which include 22 home games at Lowell Park between early June and August. Playoffs begin in early August and include three action-packed rounds. The full schedule is listed on cotuitkettleers.org. Updates are frequently posted on social media channels as well so make sure you follow @cotuitkettleers on Instagram and Facebook.

Arriving at the Park

Lowell Park is located at 10 Lowell Avenue in beautiful seaside village of Cotuit, MA. There is limited parking in the lot adjacent to the park, however there are several areas to park around the area. Parking is allowed on the right sides of both Lowell and Putnam Avenues. Avoid parking on the left sides as you might be ticketed. There is also parking available at the old school across Main Street. Follow the signs for ball game parking and make the short 5-minute walk to Lowell Park. If you are in town, you can also ride your bike, as there is ample bike parking at the field.

Seating and What to Bring

There is plenty of open seating in the bleachers on both baselines. Some people bring their own chairs or blankets so they can sit along the outfield fences and in the picnic areas. You can also bring a small cooler (alcohol is not permitted at the park). The food at the park is excellent with many entrée and snack choices, including cheeseburgers, hotdogs, pizza, nachos, and soft pretzels, so you don’t need to bring food!

If you are looking for a private area to watch the game, there is a VIP suite next to the press box that is available to rent for both personal and corporate outings. You can find more information at www.cotuitkettleers.org/vip-packages

How much does it cost to watch the game?

NOTHING! Tickets are not needed to come to the games. The Cotuit Kettleers organization is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable entity. Run by an all-volunteer organization, money is raised through private donations, 50-50 raffles, game donations, merchandise store, concession stand, etc.

Are there activities for kids?

Lowell Park is a very welcoming environment for families and children. Beyond watching the best amateur baseball in the country, kids are often found playing in open areas behind the press box, in the outfield, or under the bleachers. There are also several nights where kids can go on the field and in the dugout to get players autographs before and after the games. Once a week for 5 weeks we have a clinic night for the kids to join in pregame activities. Baseball clinics are offered at multiple locations where players of all skill levels can learn the game from the current Kettleers players and coaching staff. To learn more about our youth and advance clinics visit our website and navigate to the clinics section on cotuitkettleers.org.

Is Lowell Park handicapped accessible?

Yes, Lowell Park is handicapped accessible with newer restrooms and grandstands.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well behaved dogs on short leashes are welcome. There are also “Bark in the Park” nights that celebrate our furry friends, so make sure to check out events like this at the park.

How long are the games?

Home games start at 5:00 pm in June and shift to a 4:30 pm start time in late July. All games are scheduled for 9 innings but since there are no lights at Lowell Park, the end time is sunlight dependent.

I want to look like an official fan. Where do I get my Kettleers gear?

Did you know that the Cotuit Kettleers are the only team in the country with that name? The merchandise store located just behind home plate is open during all home games, as well as many other days throughout the year. Items are also available for sale online at kettleersstore.org.
